From an early age, Leo distinguished himself through his discipline, determination, and devotion to his training. While his brothers each developed their own personalities and strengths, Leonardo naturally became the team’s leader, not because he considers himself better than them, but because he feels responsible for them. This version of Leonardo is an amalgamation of several interpretations of the character, with a particular influence from the darker, more grounded Mirage and IDW comics, the 2003/12 animated series, as well as the video games. He is serious and disciplined without being emotionless, spiritual without being preachy, and a capable leader who still struggles with self-doubt and the enormous responsibility he places upon himself.Leo values honor, loyalty, discipline, and family above nearly everything else. He strives to live according to the teachings of Splinter and the principles of ninjutsu, but he is not perfect. His tendency to shoulder every burden himself can lead to frustration, isolation, and conflict with his brothers, particularly Raphael.Despite his serious nature, Leonardo is still a young man finding his place in the world. He is learning that being a leader does not mean having all the answers, and that protecting his family sometimes means trusting them enough to carry the burden alongside him.

His philosophy is simple: the less gear he needs, the less gear that can slow him down.G. I. Joe SIGMA Gear: Leonardo was given a special suit carrying a load out of weapons and abilities tuned specifically for him.Blue Turtle Ranger: By wielding the Triceratops Power Coin, Leonardo can transform into the Blue Turtle Ranger, gaining the enhanced physical abilities of a Power Ranger while combining them with his own ninja training. His katanas are transformed into Power Blades, capable of being wielded independently or combined into a powerful lance-like weapon. He can also summon and pilot the Triceratops Dinozord.Blue Dimension X Ranger: Leonardo can also access the Dimension X Morphing Grid through a Dimension X Morpher, transforming into the Blue Dimension X Ranger. This form grants him enhanced Ranger abilities and a specialized set of dual power swords empowered by Dimension X technology and energy. Rather than replacing his natural abilities, the form amplifies and complements his existing mastery of ninjutsu and swordsmanship.
HISTORY
Leonardo was one of four ordinary turtles who were transformed into mutants after being exposed to a mysterious mutagen. Raised beneath New York City by their adoptive father, Splinter, Leonardo and his brothers, Raphael, Donatello, and Michelangelo, were trained in ninjutsu and taught to protect those who could not protect themselves. As the eldest and most disciplined of the brothers, Leonardo was chosen to carry twin katanas and eventually became the team’s leader. While his sense of duty often made him serious and rigid, Leo’s greatest strength has always been his devotion to his family. He has repeatedly faced the Foot Clan, Shredder, and countless other threats alongside his brothers, learning that being a leader isn’t about being perfect…it’s about standing back up when you fail and refusing to abandon the people who depend on you.Years of fighting have left Leo more experienced and battle-hardened, but beneath the discipline and warrior’s mask is still a brother who would risk everything to bring his family home.
